COCKER HAPPY – Saturday 3rd July

We’ve wait a whole year for this show, and it’s guaranteed to transport you into the concert hall of legendary Cocker with music like ‘The Letter’ from his early days, through to his last concert ‘Fire It Up’ and includes classics like the haunting ‘You Are So Beautiful’ through to the raunchy ‘Leave Your Hat On’, and of course ‘With A Little Help From My Friends’.

Sadly with the passing of Joe Cocker in December 2014, the world lost the wild man of rockin’ blues. His music spanned five decades and pleased both young and old alike. His rough blues style voice and stage presentation set him apart from the rest.

Cocker Happy gives you the music… that gives you the man… that is the legend Joe Cocker. The band name comes from Joe Cocker’s first compilation album ‘Cocker Happy’ released in 1971. The combined talents of this band boast over 150 years of music experience.

George is joined on stage by Stuart Watt on keys, Nick Burgess on bass, Dave Hailes on lead guitar, Rohan Gray on drums and percussion, Gary Sanders on sax, Peter Kaighin on organ and brass, along with backing vocalists ‘Sister of Soul’ Ali Lane and Andrea Lees.

Doors and bar open at 6:00pm, show starts at 7:30pm. (Please note CASH BAR only. There is an ATM outside Garfield Pharmacy if needed.)

Complimentary beverages (tea, coffee, lemonade, fruit punch and water) are provided by the theatre to enjoy in our beautiful garden. There is also a stocked bar which serves before, during and after show until 11:00pm.

Dress code for event is smart casual. Please consider the theatre’s wooden floors and do not wear stilettos.
