Since first opening its doors in 1924, the theatre has been a place for people to come together, laugh, sing along and make memories.

What makes our little theatre so special is the care behind every detail. Long after an extensive restoration brought the building back to life, the owners and team continue to nurture the venue, creating a warm, welcoming space with beautiful gardens, comfortable facilities and a program chosen with real love for great entertainment.

At the Garfield Picture Theatre, the night doesn’t start when the main act hits the stage, it starts the moment you walk through the doors. That’s when Funk Divino, our much-loved house band, sets the tone for great night of entertainment.

Since the theatre began hosting shows, Funk Divino have become an essential part of the experience, performing ahead of the main act and during interval. With their smooth blend of keyboards, guitar and saxophone, they create a relaxed, buzzing atmosphere that turns early arrivals into part of the night. They are the perfect soundtrack for a drink in the garden, some great conversation and that unmistakable pre-show excitement.

Regulars know the secret: come early, grab a drink, settle in and let the music ease you into a fantastic evening.
