In 1959 rock n roll lost three of its biggest stars – Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens and J.P. Richardson (aka the Big Bopper). On the 60th anniversary of this tragic event join Mark Caligiuri, Llewie Adie and Joanne Caligiuri to pay tribute to these greats for MOTHER’S DAY.

On 3rd February 1959 a tragic accident stopped the world in its tracks. A plane carrying American rock n roll musicians Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens, and J.P. “The Big Bopper” Richardson crashed only minutes after take-off in Iowa. The day was forever named “The Day the Music Died” in honour of these three legends who were all so young and talented. They may be gone, but their music will always be celebrated and NEVER forgotten!
