SOLD OUT! THE BUDDY HOLLY SHOW HOSTED BY MARILYN MONROE – Saturday 14th March

Get your dancing shoes ready as Marilyn Monroe hosts this amazing tribute to 50s Rock n Roll. This show covers all the greatest hits from the likes of Buddy Holly, Big Bobber, Richie Valens, Wander Jackson, Connie Francis and many more. It’s sure to have you rockin’ n rollin’ in the aisles!

This show has been created especially for the Garfield Picture Theatre and is a nod to the variety shows of the era. Hosted by Joanne Caligiuri, a dead ringer for the iconic Marilyn Monroe, and lead by Melbourne’s own Mark Caligiuri, who enters the stage as one of Rock n Roll’s most loved and legendary singers, Buddy Holly. He has Buddy’s guitar playing down to a T… and not to mention his charming smile and moves which always excites and delights.

Mark will be joined by Llewelyn Adie, who not only sings some seriously cool Rock n Roll classics such as ‘Greendoor’ and ‘Rock Around The Clock’, he also plays amazing keys and guitar. Llewelyn is a true gentleman of this industry. Joining them is our drummer and wild cat, Joe Muratore, who will be smashing out beats so fast and fine that you will sure to be bopping in your seats and tapping to the rhythm. We also have one of the wildest, craziest and eccentric bass players in Australia! None other than Chris D’Rozario, who will be banging the double bass, doing backing vocals and most likely you’ll see him climb on top of his bass as well as playing it from behind… as you do!

These performers will sing some of the most well-known Rock n Roll songs of all time. And watch out for Marilyn Monroe, as one very lucky audience member will be serenaded by the glamour queen herself! This show will be one not to miss!

Doors and bar open at 6:00pm, show starts at 7:30pm. (Please note CASH BAR only. There is an ATM outside Garfield Pharmacy if needed.)

Light supper will be provided at interval. Please advise if there are any dietary requirements prior to event.

Complimentary beverages (tea, coffee, lemonade, fruit punch and water) are provided by the theatre as well as a variety of dips and crackers for you to enjoy in our beautiful garden. Fully stocked bar served before, during and after show until 11:00pm.

Dress code for event is smart casual. Please consider the theatre’s wooden floors and do not wear stilettos.
