Witness the arrival of a new page in the story of definitive Australian music. After forming in the mid-70s, Stars quickly came to the attention Michael Gudinski and Mushroom records by way of recommendations from Beeb Birtles and The Little River Band. Their albums ‘Land of Fortune’, ‘Paradise’ and ‘1157’ went gold at time of release, and the band also had substantial hit singles with ‘Look after Yourself’ and ‘Mighty Rock’.
Following the sad passing of their songwriter Andy Durant, a stellar support cast including Jimmy Barnes, Renee Geyer, Ian Moss and Richard Clapton participated in their national number one album, ‘The Andy Durant Memorial Concert’. The album is forever etched in Australia’s musical consciousness.
Now with original members Mick Pealing on vocals, Mal Eastick on guitar, Roger McLachlan on bass and new members Erik Chess on drums and Nick Charles on guitar the band has been receiving rave reviews…
